Winnie M. McFerren

     Winnie M. McFerren, 91, of Beverly, formerly of Waterford, Ohio, died Monday, May 25, 2020 at Appletree Assisted Living in Beverly. She was born in Beverly on August 27, 1928, daughter of Clyde D. and Cora L. Rininger Burchett. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1946 and was a longtime member of the Waterford United Methodist Church. On August 30, 1949 she was married to James M. McFerren who died on May 28, 2002. She is survived by a son, David McFerren and wife Sam of Newport, Ohio; two granddaughters, Tricia King and husband Shane of Williamstown, WV and Allyson Mard and husband Ken of Sherman, Connecticut; two great grandchildren, Zoe King and Piper King; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Grace Deaver, Dorothy Quimby and Goldie Sampson; five brothers, Francis, Gilbert, Elmer, Forrest and Robert Burchett.

     A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Waterford Cemetery with Rev. Russell White officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad, 1016 Maplegrove Rd, Waterford, Ohio 45786. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements.
