William Brian "Gumby" Lucas

     William Brian “Gumby” Lucas, 51, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 18, 1973 in Fairmont, W.V., son of William C. Lucas and Cindra Downey Cyphers. He graduated from North Marion High School in Farmington W.V. in 1991, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3665 in Beverly and had worked for Mark Lang Construction for many years. Gumby is survived by his daughter, Lyla Snow Lucas of Watertown; his significant other, Lola Sampson of Waterford; his mother, Cindra Cyphers and step father Gary Cyphers of Lecanto, Florida; two sisters, Tracy Rowe (T.J.) of Morgantown, WV and Carrie Ware (Jason) of Ashland, Kentucky; five nieces and one  nephew; and his best fishing buddy, Timmy Wittekind of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his father William C. Lucas.
