William M. "Bill" Berkemer Jr.

     William M. “Bill” Berkemer Jr., 56, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Friday, April 1, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1965 in Zanesville, Ohio, son of William and Fern Brandenburg Berkemer. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1984 and also graduated from Hocking Valley College. Bill served in the US Army and was Purchasing Manager for Goodale Transmission in Columbus for twenty years. He was an avid football fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved grilling out with his family, good neighbor and friend, Clarence Foreman and many other friends. He enjoyed his great niece, Haisley Tompkins and his nephews, Liam Ellis and Crew Tompkins. Bill is survived by his mother, Fern Berkemer of Beverly; two sisters, Angie Agosta and husband Mike of Circleville and Alice Ellis and husband Duane of Vincent; three brothers, Rance Berkemer of Glouster, Bradford Berkemer of California and Bryan Berkemer of Belpre; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Rhonda Beaver.

     Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with burial in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Tuesday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
