William Baker Obituary

William “Bill” D. Baker, 69, of Beverly, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born January 12, 1952 in Elba, Ohio son of Robert Clay and Edna Jeanie Clark Baker. A graduate of Fort Frye High School, he was a member of the Dungannon United Methodist Church. His love for music was proudly displayed during family gatherings and occasionally at the Ohio Valley Opry. He is survived by his wife, Susie Tuten Baker; daughter, Heather (Shawn) Goelz of Locust Grove, Georgia; two sons, Ryan (Jacqueline) Baker and Justin (Katie) Baker, both of Cumming, Georgia; two stepchildren, Rudy (Ashleigh) Pennock and Roxanne (Alex) Heiss, both of Waterford, Ohio. He was a beloved grandad to Max and Emmy Goelz, Boone and Isla Baker, Mason Baker, Finnley, Evie, and Hadleigh Pennock, and Abram and Adele Heiss. He is also survived by two brothers, Steve Baker (Kandy) of Beverly and Brian Baker of Beverly; four sisters, Sandy Baker, Cindy Angle and Susan Baker all of Coal Run,  Debbie Tennant of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Baker Lockhart. Due to Covid-19 there will be a private family service at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with burial in the Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad, PO Box 45, Beverly, Ohio 45715 or the Ohio Valley Opry, 1695 Hackney Road, Beverly, Ohio 45715.
