Wayne L. Harra, 95, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. He was born the youngest of three sons in Waterford, Ohio on May 8, 1926 to Herman A. and Hazel M. Murdock Harra. Wayne attended Waterford High School and served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Harra Farm Equipment along with his wife Doris and was a bus driver for Wolf Creek Local School District. Wayne was passionate about making Hay and enjoyed doing this until the age of 93 when his health kept him from being on a tractor. He was a member of the Watertown Presbyterian Church, the Waterford Grange and a longtime member of the Barlow Fair Board. On June 25, 1950, Wayne married Doris Stollar Harra who preceded him in death on December 29, 2006. He is survived by his son, Ed Harra and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Jennifer Harra Hart (Joe), Abigail Harra Flaherty (Lance), Jaclynn Heffren Williams (Matt), David Heffren (Katie) and step granddaughter, Kaylee Weihl (Andy); great grandchildren, Jordyn, Julia and Drew Hart, Lexi Brown, Jacob Flaherty, Teddy Williams, Addie Heffren and step great granddaughter, Cassady Weihl. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; daughter, Carol Ann Heffren; two brothers, Ray and George Harra; and sisters-in-law, Winafred and Cleta.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor John Harra officiating. Burial will be in the Watertown Cemetery.
