Walter T. Sullivan, 89, of Waterford, Ohio died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio. Walter was born on September 6, 1936 in Morgan County, Ohio, son of Edward T. and Maude Thorniley Sullivan. He graduated from Windsor High School in Stockport, served in the US Army in the Tank Division and was a member of American Legion Post #389 in Beverly. He had worked at several jobs during his life including logging, building silos and Interlake Steel. He is survived by four children, Debbie Keys and husband Scott of Strongsville, Ohio, Darla Clawson of Waterford, Doug Sullivan of Waterford and Dwaine Sullivan and wife Kathy of Waterford; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and his former wife, Janet Donahue of Waterford. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Edward Sullivan; grandson, Josh Schaad and four sisters, Wilmadean Donahue, Bessie Oliver, Gusta Stanley and Martha Starcher.
A visitation will be held 2-4 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with a service to follow at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Greg Marquis officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
