Tony E. Strode

     Tony E. Strode, 57, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1969 in Marietta, Ohio, son of Stanley and Bonnie Drayer Strode. Tony graduated from Fort High School and played varsity basketball. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local # 530 out of Zanesville, Ohio and worked construction for many years. Tony loved the outdoors and loved animals, especially St. Bernards. Tony will be remembered not for the challenges he faced but for the love he shared. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Strode of Beverly; a brother, Colt Strode of Beverly; three sisters, Cindy Jo  Strode of Powell, Ohio, Jessi Strode of Beverly and Susan Robinson (Tony) of Bartlett, Ohio; an aunt and uncle, Ronald “Bud” and Eileen Drayer of Waterford, Ohio and their son Bobby Drayer of Westerville, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Sarita Strode.

     A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Dale Cemetery in Dale. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of the arrangements and online condolences may be mad by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
