Shirley J. Morris

     Shirley J. Morris, 76, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 22, 1946 in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of Joseph N. and Doris Hendershot Hart. She graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1964 and was a wonderful homemaker to her family. Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and especially loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Barlow. On June 21, 1964 she was married to Walter Gene Morris who survives. Also surviving are three children, Dan Morris and wife Donna of Marietta, Doug Morris and wife Brenda of Marietta and Missy Barnes and husband Rick of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Stacey) Morris, Raymond Morris, Adessa (Kyle) Bugden, Mitchell Morris, Rebecca Morris, Joshua Morris, Jessica (Josh) Craig and Sarah (Seth) Woomer; four great grandchildren, Audrey and James Morris and Tyler and Jude Craig; and one brother, Bob Hart and wife Jody of Uhrichsville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ted Hart; a sister, Janet Hart and a granddaughter, Christina Marie Morris.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Steve Spurgin officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
