Shirley Ann Hesson, of Marietta, beloved mother, Grammy, Mum Mum and MiMi peacefully went with the angels on November 25, 2022. Shirley was born on May 20, 1937 to the late Arthur Eugene Galbraith and Anna Marie Eing Galbraith in Marietta, Ohio.
Shirley was a graduate of Marietta High School. On August 28, 1955 she married Richard (Dick) Hesson. Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed time with her family and had a love for all animals and especially favored cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two step brothers, and husband Richard (Dick) Hesson.
Shirley is survived by her three children, Terrie Wilfong (Wayne), Rick Hesson (Marlene) and Tricia LaBarre (Tom); Eight grandchildren, Angie Lucas (Tony), Jennifer Bishman (Mike), Janelle Way (David), Jeffrey Hesson, Dean Johnson (Alexis), Jessica Rickard (Matt), Austin LaBarre and Kyle LaBarre (Tesla Antill); Six great grandchildren, Lexi and Abby Bishman, Doug and Madelynn Way, Glenn and Elliott Rickard; a sister, Patricia Spindler, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being made at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with a private Celebration of Life to occur at the convenience of the family.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Harmar Place for the compassionate care and love they gave Shirley, the hospice Dr’s and nurses and the second floor nurses at MMH.
