Sherry D. Linger, 70, of Dexter City, Ohio, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1950 in Fleming, Ohio, daughter of Manley Davis and Ethel “Penny” VanWey Davis. She had been employed by the Ohio State Extension Office in Noble County as a nutrition educator. She graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1968 and attended the Dungannon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed Nascar racing and Christian Music, especially Charles Stanley and Joyce Meyers.
She was married on August 30, 1991 to Dewaine Linger who survives. Also surviving are three children, Aaron Wesley Cain (Lindsey) of Dexter City, Amanda Marie Hill (Josh) of Beverly and Nathan Dewaine Linger (Bri) of Dexter City; several grandchildren; and a sister, Althea Davis of Waterford; she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joy Lane; two brothers, Rodney and Jackie Davis and two nephews, Paul and Johnny Lane.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor James Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Williamson Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
