Sara Jones Obituary

Sara Emma Huck Jones passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her home.   Sara was born December 25, 1933 to Raymond and Anna Barbara Bauerbach Huck.  Sara was a Waterford High School graduate, class of 1952.   On October 4, 1952 she married her best friend Raymond Bert Jones. 

Sara retired as a bus driver for Wolf Creek Local School District.  Sara and Ray farmed and operated Ray Jones & Sons Trucking, Inc. for many years.

She is survived by nine children: Barbara (Steve) Littler, Susan (Mike) West, Mary (Jerry) Hess, Tom (Doddi) Jones, Evelyn (Randy) Hall, Jeff (Shari) Jones, Andy (Sharon) Jones, Debora (Randy) Parsons, Patrick (Peggy) Jones and German foreign exchange daughter Annette Barkow (Bernd)Hansen.

She is also survived by grand-children:  Emily (Scott) Livingstone; Anthony (Melissa) McAtee; Timothy (Tana) McAtee; Stephanie (Brian) Belcher; LeAnn (Kylee) Webb; Alexandra (Justin )Keith; Matthew (Morgan) West; Michael Hess; Jonathan (Kendra) Hess; Sierra Bayless (fiancé Chase Wiehl); Dustin (Tiffany) Jones; Daniel (Alicia) Jones; David (Destiny) Jones; Dennis (Kimberly) Jones; Scott Hall, Kelly Hall, Cody Hall (fiancé Shala Wallace); Stephanie (Ryan) Greene; Ashlee Jones; Jesse (Daniel Soloman) Jones; Anna Jones; Randy Parsons Jr.,  Maggie Jo Parsons (fiancé Nathan Strode); Eric (Jennifer) Westbrook; Jessica (Greg) Emrick; Svea and Finja Hansen.

Great-grand-children:  Allyson (Kyle) Kurak; Mason, Brynlee, Avery and Emma McAtee; Brittany (Sawyer) Jerrell and Nathan Belcher; Cohen Roland; Quinten Doak; Chase, Amira and Ashtyne Hess; Oakland Wiehl;  Allysa Mooney; Lillian, Nora and Quinn Jones; Alayna, Laykan, Colton and Hayden Jones; Bryce, Hadley, Kendall  Jones; Ava, Ella and Otis Jones; Dalson and Austin Greene; Sophia Emrick; Hailey and Matthew Soloman; Sarah and Matthew Westbrook; Evy, Colt and Rayliegh Parsons; Kaya Elon Martin, Kennedy Keith and Archie West; and Two great-grand-children are due this summer.   She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gladys (Bruce) Lehman, sister-in-laws Carol Huck and Anna Mae Huck; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Sara is preceded in death by her husband Ray who passed away June 8, 2017, her parents, one son Alan Raymond Jones, grand-sons Benjamin Joseph McAtee and Jesse Parsons, sister and brother-in-law Victoria and Thomas Crippen, brothers Eugene and Michael Huck, mother and father-in-law Roka Inez Combs Jones and Engle Bert Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly with Father Tim Kozak officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 pm on Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly.
