Robert J. Schwendeman

     Robert J. Schwendeman, 73, of Zanesville, formerly of Fleming, Ohio, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Altercare in Zanesville, Ohio. Robert was born on June 3, 1953 in Marietta, Ohio, son of Paul Joseph and Rita Elizabeth Arnold Schwendeman.  He graduated from Waterford High School and had hauled propane for local companies for several years. He had been associated with the Waterford Boy Scout Troop # 222 for several years and was a longtime member of OHC. He enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by three children, Michael Schwendeman (April) of Loudonville, Ohio, Melissa Cox (Nathan) of Zanesville, Ohio and Melinda Kegley (Josh) of Louisa, Virginia; Six grandchildren, Megan, Makayla, Jacob, Trevor, Jillian and Nevaeh; two sisters, Margaret Wolf (Mike) of Fleming and Edith Parsons (Michael) of Lubeck, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Louise Schwendeman and a granddaughter, Sara.
