Robert Dean Barton

Robert Dean Barton, 74, of Stockport, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 24, 1943 in Huntington, WV, son of Wilbur Andrew and Virgie Mable Moreland Barton. He had been employed as a Computer Systems Analyst for many years. He graduated from Huntington High School and Marshall University. On September 24, 1965 he was married to Jacqueline Sue Ferguson Barton who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kelli Walsh and husband Scott of Stockport and Susan Barton of Beverly; four grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Burch and husband Denzil of Huntington and Anita Jones and husband Pete of Huntington and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack and Thomas Barton and a sister, Margie Medkiff.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Stockport Cemetery in Stockport, Ohio. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
