Robert Edward “Eddie” Baker, 52, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home. He was born March 18, 1968 in Zanesville, Ohio. He had been a truck driver and a horse trainer for many years. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1986 and served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #389 at Beverly and attended the Dungannon Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Claudine Clark Baker; His mother and father, Kandy and Steve Baker of Beverly; three daughters, Trista Baker (Marty) of Beverly, Lorna Baker (Andrew) of Beverly and Jada Baker (Brandon) of Hurricane, WV; three step children, Vanessa (JB Cheadle) Mayle of McConnelsville, Dylan Mayle (Devan) of Malta and Daniel Hill (Mary) of Zanesville; a brother, Stephen Baker (Mira) of Destin, Florida; eight grandchildren, Traven Baker, Ryelyn McKinney, Cheyenne McKinney, Kaiden Guiler, Iziah McKnight, Noah McKnight, Bentley Baker and Peyton McKnight; and eleven step grandchildren; his mother in-law, Janice Clark of McConnelsville, four brothers in-law, Sam Clark (Linda), Marvin Clark (Deanna), Everett Clark (Darlena) and Charlie Clark (Joanne); sisters in-law, Gayle Boggs (Kevin) and Elaine Mayle (Jeff); and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jeanie and Clay Baker and Marie Russell; father in law, Eldon (Stub) Clark and a brother in-law, Doug Clark.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Jim Porter officiating. Friends may call 11:00am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
