Richard E. Abbott

     Richard E. Abbott, 81, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Legacy of Marietta. He was born on February 3, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Richard Abbott and Hazel Hutzel Abbott. He graduated from John Glenn High School and had worked at Ohio Power Company for many years before his retirement. He was married on December 16, 1973 to Barbara Bell Abbott who survives. Also surviving are four children, Curtis Connell, Chris Connell, Jim Abbott and Lori McClelland; Four grandchildren, Tiffany Tornes, Eric Connell, Alex McClelland and Amber McClelland. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jamie Connell. The family will hold a private service at their convenience.
