Ralph J. Barton Sr.

     Ralph J. Barton Sr., 90, of Coal Run, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1931 in Beverly, Ohio son of Lory M. and Mary Ann Ward Barton. He was retired from Interlake Steel and also retired from Waterford Township where he mowed the cemeteries for several years. He was a member of the Coal Run Church of Christ and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3665 in Beverly. On July 17, 1956 he was married to Lucy Wallace Barton who survives. Also surviving is a son, Ralph Barton Jr. of Coal Run; three grandchildren, Matthew Barton of Lowell, Jeremy Barton of Waterford and Joe Anderson of Waterford; three great grandchildren, Sarah, Ryleigh and Brantley Anderson; a brother, Marion Barton of Cardington, Ohio; four special nieces, Nancy Henry, Delores Terri, Linda Franklin and Theresa Skinner; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Della Dailey.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Rich Lemal officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm on Friday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
