Noel Edwin Steorts

Noel Edwin Steorts, 92, of Waterford, passed quietly, as he lived, at Marietta Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 29, 2018. He was born October 6, 1925 in Newton, WV, son of Isaac and Letha Wright  Steorts. He proudly served in the US Navy 1943-46 and 1948-50 in both Pacific and Atlantic theaters during WWII. Noel then ran the multigenerational family farm and retired from Interlake Steel. Mr. Steorts in later years became a renowned local historian. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Noel is survived by many nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law. There will be no services held.
