Monica Dietz Obituary

Monica L. Dietz, 78, of Beverly went to her heavenly home where she was reunited with the love of her life on January 4th, 2022. Monica was very active in the B & W community as a business owner, a member of several civic organizations, including Eastern Star Chapter 506 and the Presbyterian Church. She was a generous philanthropist, a devoted mom, grandma, sister, and daughter who valued family above all.

She was born on January 21st, 1943, to the Earl (Pete) Miller and Rita Kern Miller. Loving sister to Marsha McCutcheon (Ron), Marlene Robitaille, Tom Miller (Sue), Tony Miller (Sue), Terry Miller (Patti) and Ted Miller (Trina). She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Mary Turnbach (Joe), and brother Tim Miller.

Monica married her soulmate, the late Paul “Noble” Dietz on June 17th, 1961. Together, they had three children, Hope Lynn Schott of Cincinnati, Dana Paul Dietz (Tami) of Waterford, and Holly Anna Eschmeyer (Tony) of Highlands Ranch, CO. She was known as grandma to Hannah, Megan, and Grayson Schott, McKenzie and Joshua Dietz, and Dominic, Sophia, and Sunny Pearl Eschmeyer.

She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow and follow their passions and endeavors. She was an avid card and Scrabble player and appreciated the tedious sport of golf (achieving a hole-in-one). She loved watching and feeding the birds, as her favorites were hummingbirds. Monica was a terrific cook and dessert maker, hosting many family gatherings. Her grandkids believe she made the best pancakes

The family would like to acknowledge Monica’s special caregivers for their love, compassion, and friendship during her battle with Alzheimer’s.

There will be a private celebration honoring Monica’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the B & W Rescue Squad, PO Box 45, Beverly, Ohio 45715. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
