Michael A. Shotwell, 36, of Williamstown, West Virginia, died on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. He was born on October 19, 1984 in Parkersburg, WV, son of Herman and Margie Pugh Shotwell. He graduated from Warren High School in 2002 and worked for N-TIVA in IT and cloud management. He was also attending WVU Parkersburg to further his education. He loved to play the guitar, sit by his fire pit and enjoy beach vacations with his family and his dogs.
He is survived by the three loves of his life; his wife Mallorie Davis, and two children, Sylas and Salys Shotwell of Williamstown. Also surviving are his parents, Herman and Margie Shotwell of Fleming; mother and father in-law, Jim and Tina Davis of Williamstown; two brothers, Steven Shotwell (Kendra) of Fleming, Rob Shotwell (Renee) of Vincent, two sisters, Jonelle Abounaoum (Roy) of Westerville, Oh; and Karissa Shotwell (Amy) of Parkersburg; a sister in-law, Stacie Davis of Parkersburg and a brother in-law, Grant Carter (Jay) of San Antonio, Texas; and his three furry companions, Remi, Ruger and Regent. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jaden Douglas Shotwell; an uncle, Rick Pugh; and an aunt, Debbie Haas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. The burial will be in the Dale Cemetery at Dale, Ohio. Friends may call 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Social distancing will be observed and face mask will be required at the funeral home.
