Michael Lee Rucker, 63, of Harrison, Ohio, died on Monday, August 26, 2019 in Harrison in a fatal car accident. He was born in Marietta, Ohio on December 11, 1955 and was the son of Mike and Louise Yoho Rucker of Stockport, Ohio, formally of Hackney. Michael was a 1974 graduate of Fort Frye High School and graduated from Ohio University in 1978. He also studied church growth and received a Master’s Degree in Divinity at Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Michael served our country in the United States Army and during his term he was stationed in Germany. Michael worked for Avon and retired last year. He also served the Lord as an ordained pastor. He served his lord and was very active in church activities. He was a member of Life Spring Community Christian Church.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Louise Rucker; and three siblings, Ronald Rucker (Lisa), David Rucker (Alison) and Cindy Wilson (Mark); ten nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Reinersville Cemetery with military services at the grave. Friends may call 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday.
