Michael D. Kenney Sr.

     Michael D. Kenney Sr. 67, of Cutler, Ohio, died on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1953 in Medina, Ohio, son of Ronald Kenney and Ruth E. Welch. He was a Boilermaker and member of the Boilermaker Local Union # 105 in Piketon, Ohio. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1971. Mike was a hard working and devoted family man who loved teaching his children and grandchildren about the life he was so proud of on the family farm, which included showing his friends what his John Deere tractors were made of. Mike created a place where everyone was welcome and loved to be. He was always there for anyone who needed words of wisdom or a helping hand. He will forever be a loved and missed husband, dad, grandpa, friend and brother. We now leave you with your parting words “well you don’t have to run off.

     He was married on September 16, 1989 to Sharon Campbell Kenney who survives. Also surviving are six children, Mike Kenney Jr., Jenny Osborne (Bobby), Julie Hammond, Michelle Kenney, Nikki Kenney and James Kenney (Brittany); Ten grandchildren, Devin, Kylee, Shay, Tessa, Connor, Cole, Jayce, Easton, Aaliyah and Abrielle; three great grandchildren, Laylah, Ember and Arlo; three sisters, Susie Heiss, Cheri Kenney and Sally DeLong;  and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Willie Hood officiating. Friends may call 2-8 pm on Wednesday.
