Mary A Thornton

     Mary A. Thornton, 83, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Friday, March 4, 2022 at her home. She was born July 11, 1938 in Bloomfield, Ohio, daughter of Floyd and Ada Sine Morris. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1957. Mary was a homemaker and loved gardening, especially flowers. She was married on May 28, 1962 to Louis D. Thornton who died on February 24, 2019. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean Thornton of Beverly and Michelle Perry  and husband Harold of Salem WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara Berry of Marietta, Janice Arnold (Larry) of Marietta, Dorothy Ogaz (Victor) of New Matamoras and Shirley Haessly of Newport; two brothers, Louis “Bob” Morris of New Matamoras and Paul Morris of Beverly. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Sheila Fisher; three sisters, Ruth Kehl, Mildred Steinhoff and Vivian Farnsworth; three brothers, Wilford Morris, Charles Morris and James Morris.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 7, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
