Mary Lou Pennock

     Mary Lou Pennock, 94, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. She was born on January 28, 1929 in Watertown, Ohio, daughter of Charles and Edna Alberry Spung. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1947 and had been a wonderful mother and grandmother to her family. She was married on January 30, 1948 to Francis W. Pennock who died on March 13, 2001. She is survived by four children, Daniel Pennock, Debra Pennock, Diane Henry and Dixie Hart and husband Davey all of Beverly; a daughter in law, Kathy Pullins Pennock of Tuppers Plains; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a great- great granddaughter; a brother, Glenn Spung of Little Rock, Arkansas; a sister, Janet Spung of Waterford; and a sister in-law, Arlene Pennock of Beverly; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Donald Pennock and an infant son, Richard Pennock; a sister, Irene Spung and a daughter in-law, Louise Pennock.

     A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Smith Chapel Cemetery near Hackney with Pastor Roger Morrow officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 45, Beverly, Ohio, 45715.
