Marjorie Marie (Kidd) Deming Christopher Bee, 101, was born May 25, 1921 in Stanleyville, Ohio on the family farm. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Clark and Ica Virginia Elder Kidd. She graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1940. In June of 1940 she married Lester G. Deming and they had three children, Lyle, Marie and Teddy. Two years after Lester’s death she married Herman Christopher in 1954. Marjorie graduated from Marietta Nursing School with her LPN in 1969 and worked at Selby Hospital in Marietta. In 1972 she moved to Texas and returned to Ohio in 1999. Upon her return to Ohio she joined the Barlow Presbyterian Church and continued to be a devout Christian her whole life. In 2005 she married Paul Bee. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling, horseback riding, painting and art. She also was an author and wrote poetry and even wrote and published a book about her life. In later years she enjoyed playing games with her friends and going to the auction.
Surviving are her children, Marie E. Reed of Watertown and Teddy F. Deming (Brenda) of Waterford; daughter in law, Bonda Deming of Charlotte, NC; surviving grandchildren are Jerry Deming, Lester Deming (Lisa), Patrick Deming (Margot), Diane Sinclair (Dale), Nicole Montgomery, Michelyn Boone and Chelsea Boone; also surviving are great-grandchildren, Luke Deming, Lane Deming, Logan Deming, Monica Wimer, Trevor Deming (Kera), Katie (Zack) Howard, Rachel (Adam) Kasler, Laura (Brodey) Lehman, Anthony (Kali) Reed, Christopher Howard, Shailah Howard and Sean Parish. Also surviving are six great-great- grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her eleven siblings, Ocra, Opal, Dorothy, Doris, Harold, Chester, Eleanor, Edith, Howard, Delbert and Thelma; her husband’s, Lester G. Deming, Herman L. Christopher and Charles Paul Bee; also preceding her in death is a son Lyle G. Deming; a son in law, Kenneth E. Reed and a grandson, Paul E. Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial will be in the Barlow Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
