Marilyn V. Hart

Marilyn V. Hart, 80, of Pataskala, Ohio died Monday, December 16, 2019 at her home. She was born at Selby General Hospital in Marietta on October 30, 1939 to George and Noma Bryner. Marilyn graduated from Beverly High School in 1957, which was the last class before the school was torn down and rebuilt as Fort Frye. She was an active student, proudly playing the  E-flat Alto horn in the band, alternating with her Majorette duties, and sneaking off to the girls room during class, to giggle and sing with future Country singer Connie Smith. After graduation she went on to Cosmetology school in Columbus, Ohio. She met her future husband, Donal D. Hart on a blind date arranged by his sister while he was home on Leave from the U.S. Marine Marine Corps. They were married on December 20, 1958. She was a past member of the Beverly UMC where she attended as a child. Marilyn was a woman of God who with husband Don, selflessly supported many charities throughout her life, as well as lending a helping hand to those in need around her.

She is survived by their two children, Duane (Carolyn) of Newark, Ohio, and Donita of Grove City, Ohio, and 4 Grandchildren: Bradley, Matthew (Melinda), Ryan, and Alyssa. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Larry.

Funeral services will be held at McCurdy Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 1:00pm with Pastor L. Kae Merold officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marilyn to the Outville Presbyterian Church 6463 Outville Rd. SE Pataskala, Ohio 43062, or the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department at 400 7th Street, Beverly, Ohio 45715, where her dad was a member for 26 years.
