Marilyn Fay Britton Gump

     Marilyn Fay Britton Gump, 79, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Waterford, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Waterview Pointe in Marietta. She was born on June 27, 1944 in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of John and Naomi Hudson Britton. Marilyn graduated from Warren High School and had been a wonderful homemaker for her family for many years. She was a Seventh Day Adventist by faith and her favorite hobbies were sewing, quilting and gardening. She is survived by a son, Charles W. Gump of Waterford; three daughters, Margie Gump of Waterford, Charmen Gump of Malvern, Iowa and Malinda Burt (John) of Waterford; grandchildren, Amanda Rodkey (Brian), Greg Claypoole, Olivia Holiday, Sean Holiday, Chelsea Holiday, Alisha Miller (Jim), Nathaniel Kindler, Aaron McCoy, Shala Hill (Jay), Jessica Hill, Tasha Hill, Jacob Hill, Duane Lunsford (Luella), Timmy Johnson, Tyra Miller (Daniel), Hayvun Burt, Raygun Burt, Addysun Burt and Bricker Robison; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Elliot, Lillian, Halle, Sofia, David, Cheryl, Caleb, Logan, Gracie, Ellie and Kenley. Marilyn also had many extended grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Gump; a daughter, Barbara Kindler and two grandchildren, Brandi McCoy and C. J.Gump.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Jed Butler officiating. Friend may call 10 am until 2 pm at the funeral home on Monday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
