Marilyn Ruth Cunningham

     Marilyn Ruth Cunningham, 75, of Stockport, Ohio, died on Monday, January 9, 2023 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1947 in Medina, Ohio, daughter of Ralph C. and Phyllis Marie Hanson Eckert. She graduated from Windsor High School in Stockport and had been employed at the First National Bank at Stockport for 18 years. She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church where she was Treasurer for many years and she enjoyed quilting, cooking, watching birds and the Ohio State Buckeyes football games. On October 16, 1966 she was married to Kenneth Cunningham who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Laurie Cunningham of Zanesville; her grand dog, Linus; two sisters, Nancy Starling (Stan) of Chesterhill and Jean Scott of Coal Run; two brothers, Richard Eckert (Thelma) of Beverly and James Eckert (Sue) of Oklahoma; a half- brother, Don Eckert (Janet) of Stockport and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Danny Eckert; three half- brothers, Edwin Ted Eckert, David Evans and Bob Eckert; and two half-sisters, Kathleen Stocker and Pat Keppler.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Oakland United Methodist Church with Pastor David Miller officiating. Friends may call 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday at the church. Burial in the church cemetery will be held at a later date.
