Margaret L. "Maggie" South

     Margaret L. “Maggie” South, 78, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1944 in Washington County, Ohio, daughter of Fred C. and Viola Medley Webster. She was a homemaker and was a baby sitter for several children for many years. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1962 and attended Washington County Technical College. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Waterford. She loved her grandchildren very much and also loved her cat Sunset. She was married on October 13, 1972 to William C. South who died on March 9, 2019. She is survived by two sons, Mark Offenberger of Lower Salem and Steve Offenberger of Marietta; a daughter, Donna Beardmore and husband Jerry of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren, Sara Windgrove (Michael), Zachary Beardmore, Hunter Beardmore and Hannah Beardmore; three great grandchildren, Noah, Anastasia and Daniel Windgrove; a sister, Mary Patterson (Roger) of Lowell; a brother, Robert “Butch” Webster (Cindi) of Florida; and several nieces and nephews; Maggie had a special place in her heart for Heather Arnold (Josh) and Jarrod Arnold (Katie) and she dearly their children, Brooklyn, Brody, Brynna and Ace.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter in-law, Gena Offenberger; and several brothers and sisters.

     There will be a visitation for Maggie on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2-6 pm at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with a service to follow with Pastor Isaac Shupe officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Home Healthcare and Hospice and the nursing staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
