Luetta McGhee Jenkins, 90, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was born on August 7, 1931 in Jackson, Ohio, daughter of Ralph D. and Mary Luetta McGhee. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1949 and Ohio University in 1983 with a degree in Special Education. She retired from Ewing School where she taught for twenty five years. Luetta had been a member of the Beverly United Methodist Church for fifty two years. She was married on June 12, 1949 to Robert D. Jenkins who died on February 9, 2012. She is survived by a son, Robert “Rob” Jenkins and his wife Mary of Littleton, Colorado; a daughter, Susan White of Beverly; four grandchildren, Jill Kohrs (Greyson), Maggie Whittaker (Drew), Zeke Jenkins (Haley) and Noah Jenkins (Abby); and her beloved great grandchildren, Natalie, Audrey, Oliver, Lincoln, Dylan and Hudson; She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; three brothers, Willard, Paul and Maurice McGhee; a sister, Corella McGhee; and a son in law, Don White.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio with pastor Carl Orphanides officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly United Methodist Church, 700 Park St, Beverly, Ohio 45715. The family would like to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley and the Staff at Marietta Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care.
