Lorraine Parks Combs, of Beverly, the daughter of Dewey and Belva Parks, entered the world on November 19th, 1932. She graduated from Manchester High School in Reinersville, Ohio, and married Fred V. Combs on October 14th, 1950, in Fort Eustes, Virginia. On November 19th, 2024, her 92nd birthday, she said goodbye to this world and entered Eternity to be forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Combs and his wife Sue of Beverly, OH; five grandchildren Ryan Smithberger and Lyndsi Smithberger of South Bend, Ind., Adria Handley (Aaron), Alana Cunningham, and Aleece Dye (Nick) all of Beverly; thirteen great-grandchildren, Parker Smithberger and Colin Smithberger of South Bend, Ind., Elliot Handley, Bryce Handley, and Raelynn Handley, Daniel Cunningham, Addison Reutzel, Jackson Cunningham, Cora Reutzel, Emersyn Cunningham, Clark Dye, Blakely Dye, and Case Dye all of Beverly; a son-in-law Jeff Smithberger of South Bend, and sister Doris Parks Robinson of Sarahsville, OH, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Fred V. Combs on Dec. 17th, 2017, beloved daughter Vicki Combs Smithberger on September 27th, 2001; cherished family friend Estelle Moretz Dinan; her parents, and brother Gerald Parks.
The family would like to extend their heart-felt gratitude to Jane Combs and Rosita Reynolds for lovingly caring for Lorraine.
Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Barlow, Ohio with the funeral service immediately following at 3:00 pm. Pastor Eric Egger officiating. Private burial will be at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
