Obituary
Lawrence Gene Wagner, 79, of Marietta, Ohio, died on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1943 in Noble County, Ohio, son of Lawrence W. and Annabelle Martin Wagner. He graduated from Fort Frye High School and served in the US Army. He retired from Kardex in Marietta, Ohio after several years of employment and was a member of the Lowell American Legion Post #750. On August 23, 1980 he was married to Melanie Bradley Wagner who survives. Also surviving is a son, Ronnie Wagner and wife Cheryl of Hamilton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nathan, Zach and Abby Wagner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Larry “Boone” Wagner.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Beverly Cemetery with Lowell American Legion Post # 750 conducting the service. Friends may call 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday at the McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lowell American Legion Post # 750.
