Lavona June Lawrence

     Lavona June Lawrence, 88, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville. She was born on March 24, 1934 in Morgan County, Ohio, daughter of Guy W. Morrison and Lavella Quigley Morrison. She was married on May 3, 1953 to James W. Lawrence who died on February 13, 1985. She is survived by three sons, Bruce Lawrence of Watertown, Ohio, James Lawrence (Cindy) of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Brian Lawrence (Loretta) of Beverly, Ohio; two daughters, Betty Lusinger of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Julie Lawrence of Marietta, Ohio; several grandchildren; and a sister, Eula Ashton of Warrensburg, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Sherry Lawrence; a brother, Ray Morrison and a sister, Shirley Dobbins.

     Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Rich Lemal officiating. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be Mt. Hermon Cemetery near Bartlett, Ohio.
