Kevin L. Wears

     Kevin L. Wears, 59, of Watertown, Ohio, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on October 19, 1963 in Pomeroy, Ohio and graduated from Warren High School in 1983. He had been a truck driver for many years and had also been in the logging business. Kevin was an outdoorsman and loved riding 4 wheelers and side by sides, loved to drive trucks and enjoyed bringing firewood to the house for the winter. He also loved spending time with his friends and his family. He was married on February 18, 2005 to Bernadette Schwendeman Miller Wears who survives. He is also survived by four children, Trey Wears (Ivy) of Belpre, Kacie Wears of Lakewood, Ohio, Logan Wears of Lower Salem and Morgan Wears (Alex Miller) of Lower Salem; two stepsons, Rodney Miller (Rachel) of Key West, Florida and Adam Miller of Marietta; four grandchildren, Jamison, Hadley, Ronan and Korbin; a sister, Tina O’Neil of St. Petersburg, Florida; three half siblings, Greg Wears (Becky), Raymond Wears (Jenny) and Diana McCoy (Russ) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Oren Wears and an aunt, Eloise Felour.

   A visitation will be held 1-5pm pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with a service to be held at the conclusion of the visitation with Pastor Roland Schwendeman officiating.
