Joseph Edward Teubert

     Joseph Edward Teubert, 90, met his precious Savior Jesus Christ face to face on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his home in Marietta. He was born on June 7, 1932 in Big Creek, West Virginia, son of Edward Kuntz Teubert and Cecilia McMichen Teubert. Joseph graduated from Ansted High School in Ansted,WV and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired as a computer operator from Union Carbide-Eramet at Marietta. He was a member of the Marietta Baptist Temple and loved to pass out gospel tracts and for many years he and his wife housed missionaries at their home. He loved to hunt and was a wonderful husband and father. He was just a kid at heart and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was married on October 25, 1952 to Isabel Cline Teubert who survives. He is also survived by three children, Bonny Chandler of Beverly, Don Teubert and wife Janet of Marietta and Jinny Rummer and husband Douglas of Waterford; thirteen grandchildren, Jason Shepherd (Jennifer), Bryan Shepherd (Jessica), Cheryl Cram (Jay), Anne Gilliland (Gary), Carey McGraw (Phil), John Townsend (Jesse), Marc Townsend, Lee Teubert (Morgan), Logan Teubert (Carissa), Grace Mason (Ryan), Matt Rummer (Savanna), Jared Rummer and Rachel Metz (Daniel); twenty great grandchildren; and a brother Fred Teubert and wife Margaret of Lewisburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Caroline Faith Shepherd; a sister, Marie Zackoski; and two brothers, Bobby and Roy Teubert.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Marietta Baptist Temple at 1119 Lancaster Street in Marietta with Pastor Don Teubert officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery with Military Services at the grave.
