Jerry L. Tucker, 75, of Beverly, Ohio died Monday, January 3, 2022 at his home. He was born August 16, 1946 in Montgomery, West Virginia, son of Ivan L. and Virginia Lloyd Tucker. He was retired from AEP Muskingum River Plant. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1964. He then served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Vietnam. He was a member and Past Commander of Russell Chadwick American Legion Post #389 in Beverly where he was Adjutant for over 25 years. He attended the Beverly United Methodist Church. Jerry was married on august 21, 1965 to Lois E. Welch Tucker who died on March 7, 2015. He is survived by his daughter; Elaine Glazier and Tom of Vincent, Ohio; four sons, Troy Tucker and Katie of Beverly, Ohio, Thad Tucker and Amanda Duskey of Beverly, Ohio, Travis Tucker and Gabrielle of Pickerington, Ohio and Austin Tucker of Manassas, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Sierra Knotts and Garrin, Noah Glazier, Brisa Glazier, Jonathan Tucker and Rachael, Loretta Tucker, Aspen Tucker, and August Tucker; a brother, Thomas Tucker and Calla of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, and parents. Visitation will be held Friday January, 7, 2022 from 5-8pm at the Beverly United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Beverly United Methodist Church with Steve Wainwright officiating. Face masks and social distancing will be appreciated. The burial will in Smith Chapel Cemetery with Military services at the grave. Donations may be made to the Beverly Waterford Rescue Squad or the American Legion Post #389 in Beverly.
