Jerry R. Few, 75, of Watertown, Ohio, died on Sunday, June 11. 2023,at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV. He was born on August 26, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Robert P. and Bernice R. Baker Few. He was retired from Central Ohio Coal Company after 22 years of service and had also been a welder and a timber cutter for many years. Jerry graduated from Waterford High School in 1965 and served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge # 37 F&AM in Beverly and loved anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and timber cutting along with spending time with his grandchildren. He was married on October 15, 1967 to Patricia Harra Few who survives. Also surviving are four children, Adam Few and wife Marsha of Circleville, Ohio, Sheila Moore and husband Steve of Dresden, Ohio, Dawn White and friend Brad Erickson of McConnelsville, Ohio and Jason Few and wife Cindy of Waterford; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Austin, Seth, Brandon, Aubrey, Becca and Tyler; great grandchildren, Graysen, Declan, Cade, Owen and Caroline; a sister, Kathy Bacon of Madison, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great grandchild, Eli; and two brothers in law, Tony Bacon and Clayton Harra.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June17, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Larry Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Watertown Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday and a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
