Irene Louise Lang

Irene Louise Arnold Lang, 92, of Waterford, Ohio, died on December 29, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Irene was born March 3, 1929 in Marietta, Ohio to the late John Arnold and Virginia Schilling Arnold. She married Joseph Lang, Jr on August 24, 1948.

Irene was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Beverly, Ohio and the Catholic Women’s Club. She loved quilting, bingo, playing cards, traveling and  being with her family.

She is survived by her children Charlene Wagner, Cris Baker (Roger) , Karen Van Dyne (Daryl),  Greg Lang  (Susan), and Ted Lang (Rose); grandchildren Doug Baldwin (Joanna), Shellie Baker (Jerry King), Dawn Baldwin, Lori Greuey (Jake), Denise Gundel (James), Kari Elliott (Wayne), Amy Newton (Frank), Luke Lang, Luke Crock, Diana Beil (Brendan), Joe Baker (Jessie), Desiree’ Van Dyne-Lange (Kris), Brittany Bongga (John), Anna Lang, Emily Lang, Teddy Lang and numerous great grandchildren.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,  son Randall, son-in-law Dave Wagner, grandson Josh Crock, brothers: George, Bill, Jim, Tony, Jerry, and sisters: Sister Maria Arnold, MaryLou Huck, Allene Huck, and Bertha Ledger.

            Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Services will be held at St. Bernard’s Church in Beverly, Ohio on Wednesday, January 5 at 10:00 am. with Father Tim Kozak officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to The Apple Tree Assisted Living for their kindness and compassion with their mother. Face masks would be appreciated.
