Helen Rae Hilton

     Helen Rae Hilton, 69, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Belpre Landing Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on April 8, 1953 in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of Charles H. Hilton and Carol J. Dimit Harrington. She graduated from Brookhaven High School in Columbus, Ohio where she excelled at softball and golf. She later played softball in several leagues until her 40’s. She had worked at the White Volvo Plant at Lewis Center for twenty two years. Helen was an avid sports fan most of her life. She loved children and dogs and leaves behind her dog, Zoey. She is survived by her mother, Carol Harrington of Waterford; aunts and uncles, Norma Roe and Shirley Wallace, Lorne and Judy Dimit and Wilford Dimit; a sister in-law Judy Hilton of Centerburg; nephews, David Hilton of Centerburg, Travis (Sara) Hilton of Centerburg and John White of Mt. Vernon; a niece, Mollie (Donald) Lanigan of Mt. Vernon; and several great nieces and nephews; special helpers Nancy and Mark Wallace of Coal Run, Steve and Beth Roe of Waterford, Diana “Dee” Cunningham of Veto and Missy and Steve Coe of Vincent. She was preceded in death by her father; twin sister, Ellen Hilton; a brother, James Hilton; grandparents, Raymond and Mazie Dimit and Irene Worford; and a niece Paula White.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Steve Roe officiating.
