Gwendolyn Mary Wagner

     Gwendolyn Mary Wagner, 94 of Beverly, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born on February 23, 1928 in Stockport, Ohio, daughter of Frank R. and Florence M. Mummy Smith. She graduated from M&M High School in 1946 and had worked at Essex Wire in Zanesville, Smith Dairy Queen in McConnelsville, a security guard at AEP and had been a bar maid for over 35 years. She was also a member of the FOE # 3665 at Beverly. She was first married to Arthur D. Tidd and later married on August 29, 1986 to Edwin Louis “Buck” Wagner who died on July 18, 1995.She is survived by two grandchildren, David (Missy) Tidd of Malta and Debra Tidd Wheeler of McConnelsville; six great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; five step children; fifteen step grandchildren; and thirty two step great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur, father of her son Ronald Tidd and his wife Ruth; and Ronald’s daughter Donna D. Walthour; her 2nd husband Edwin; a brother, Leslie G. Smith and his wife Mary and their son Keith Smith; her grandparents, Frank and Alice Gheen Mummy and George and Adaline Smith and a great-great step- grandson Enix Wagner.

     A graveside service will be held at Waterford Cemetery at 11:00 am on Monday, May 16, 2022 with Steve Wainwright officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements.
