Gretchen Estelle Seagraves, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on February 8, 1980, in Dayton, Ohio, Gretchen was a cherished resident of Beverly, Ohio, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
She was a proud graduate of Tri-County North High School, Class of 1998, and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Lee University. Her passion for teaching and helping others led her to a fulfilling career at the Washington County Career Center Adult Technical Training, where she inspired countless students with her dedication and compassion. A devoted member of the Marietta Church of God, Gretchen found joy in her faith, her family, and her community. Gretchen had a zest for life and a love for music, sports, and creativity. She found peace and joy in coloring and drawing, often sharing her artistic talents with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Gretchen is survived by her quintuplets, Grace, Faith, Hope, Noah, and Elijah Seagraves, who were the light of her life. Gretchen cherished every moment spent with her quintuplets, nurturing their growth and happiness. She is also survived by her parents, William "Bill" and Karen Seagraves, her brother Joshua Seagraves (Rebecca), and her niece and nephew, Enoch and Bristol. She also leaves behind her dear friends Nick Rediger and Kelly Schlotterbeck, who were like family to her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William "Bill" Sr. and Nancy "Nelly" Seagraves, and her maternal grandparents, Reba and Paul Marinich.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 at McCurdy Funeral in Beverly with Pastor Dan Hess officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home and online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
