Glenn L. Hinton, 82, of Waterford, Ohio, died on March 8, 2025 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly, Ohio. He was born on October 28, 1942 in Waterford, Ohio, son of Oris and Dorothy Reed Hinton. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1960 and served in the US Air Force from 1960-1964. He was a farmer and had been manager of Landmark in Waterford for many years. While in the Air Force he was an Airman 3rd. Class, a firefighter and was involved in the crash recovery of the Saturn II Rocket. Glenn enjoyed traveling all over the country with his wife Jerri and they usually spent the winters in Florida. On June 14, 1964 he was married to Geraldine “Jerri” McCutcheon Hinton who survives. Also surviving are six children, Sheila Hinton (Jim) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Debbie Hardesty of Waterford, Scott Hinton (Suzie) of Wichita, Kansas, John Hinton (Bobbie) of Stanleyville, Ohio, Jim Hinton (Christa) of Fleming and Patricia Schaad (Rob) of Elk River, Minnesota; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brenda Kay Hinton; two brothers, Leonard Hinton and Robert Hinton; and two sisters, Gladys Staph and Alice Maxine Hoover.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Friends may call 1-3 pm on Tuesday with a Military Service to be held following the service. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
