Frederick W. Bosner

     Frederick W. Bosner, 77, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the home of his daughter, Teri Strauss. He was born on October 2, 1945 in Marietta, Ohio, son of Louis C. and Alice Louise Hecker Bosner. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1963 and in his early days he worked for the B&O Railroad. He later worked as an overhead crane operator for Interlake Steel and later at Eramet in Marietta for many years. Fred had been a farmer for many years and had run a small engine repair shop from his home for several years. He was married on June 20, 1964 to Cherry L. Schwarz Bosner who died on November 9, 2014. He is survived by three children, Teri Strauss and husband Gary, Tracey Strahler and husband Lindsey and Daniel Bosner, all of Waterford; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; a sister in law, Jennie Bosner and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a son, William J. Bosner; a brother James Bosner and an infant nephew, Dustin Bosner.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday. The family would like to thank Shrivers Hospice for their wonderful care of Fred during his illness.
