Evah J. Ball

     Evah J. Ball, 87, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Monday, April 29, 2024 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1937 in Waterford, Ohio, daughter of James Dayton Sherlock and Mildred Marie Johnson Sherlock. Evah graduated from Waterford High School in 1954 and had been secretary at Watertown Elementary and Wolf Creek School District for 38 years. On June 9, 1954 she was married to Donald E. Ball who died on March 16, 2018. She is survived by four children, Andy Ball and wife Carla of Waterford, Darren Ball and wife Lisa of Waterford, David Ball and wife Laura of Worthington, Ohio and Rita Stollar and husband Keven of Waterford; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren; a brother, Robert Sherlock and wife Betty of Waterford; three sisters, Bonnie Fields of Watertown, Sandra Sherlock of Zanesville and Wanda Morris of Beverly. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Jerry Ball; and a daughter, Linda June Ball.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor John Harra officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waterford Elementary school library at 19701 St. Rt. 339, Waterford, Ohio 45786.
