Dorothy M. Pugh, 85, of Waterford, Ohio, died on January 5, 2021 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born May 3, 1935 in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of James Herbert and Rhoda Lowe McIntire. She graduated from Barlow-Vincent High School and had been a School Bus Driver for the Ewing School for 31 years. She was a longtime member of the Washington County Horseman Council. She was married on March 25, 1955 to James H. Pugh who died on December 3, 2017. She is survived by a son, Kevin Pugh and wife Jeanette of Utica, Ohio; and a daughter, Brenda Deming and husband Ted of Ruskin, Florida; two granddaughters, Chelsea Boone and Michaelyn Boone; and a grandson, Kaleb Pugh; one sister, Virginia Sadler and husband Sam of Waterford; and a brother, Jim McIntire and wife Donna of Baltimore, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Clifford “Sonny” Pugh; two sisters, Naomi Anderson and Juanita Foreman; and a brother, Kenneth Ray McIntire.
A visitation for family and close friends will be held from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. For the safety of all, social distancing will be observed and a face mask will be required at the funeral home.
