Donna L. Brooker

     Donna (Perry) Brooker, 70, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born on July 22, 1949 in Marietta, Ohio to John Perry Jr. and Peggy (Baker) Perry. After graduating from Marietta High School in 1967, she married her best friend, Robert (Bob) Brooker on September 16, 1967 and together they owned and operated the Muskingum Valley Hardware store for over 31 years. Donna belonged to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Beverly and was an active member of the community, serving with the Beverly Lions Club, Beverly-Waterford Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women’s Club. In 2017, Donna and Bob were honored to be chosen as the Waterford Community Fair Parade Marshalls. Donna will be forever remembered and loved by her husband Bob, of 53 years, sons Kevin (Donna), Gregory (Mindy) and Aaron (Kelsey); grandchildren, Ethan, McKenna, Christopher, Ethan, Justin, Blake, Ella, Chloe and  Mackie; her brother, Eugene “Gene” (Sue) Perry and countless family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Jo (Perry) Offenberger.  The family will receive guests from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday January 17, 2020 at McCurdy Funeral Home with a Rosary Service to follow. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Beverly on Saturday January 18, 2020 at 10:00 am.
