Diane W. Tuten, 90, of Devola, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at her home. She was born on January 7, 1932 in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of Russell C. and Susanna McCreary Winner. Diane graduated from Chicora High School in Charleston, South Carolina in 1950. She was a longtime member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Marietta Memorial Hospital and the Beverly Public Library. She was also an avid reader and loved to sew which she did a lot raising seven children. Diane was married on December 2, 1949 to Harold R. Tuten who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susanna Baker of Beverly and Rachel Klinger and husband Steve of Churchtown; five sons, Richard “Butch” Tuten and wife Lana of Stockport, Keith Tuten and wife Tami of Marietta, Scott Tuten and wife Michelle of Athens, David Tuten and wife Jerilyn of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Mike Tuten and wife Johnna of Waterford; twenty two grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, nine step-great grandchildren and two forthcoming; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dr. Patty Pepper; a son in-law Bill Baker and a great- granddaughter, Sarah Grace Owens.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Beverly Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom O’Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm on Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diane Tuten Memorial Scholarship Fund % of the Waterford Bank, P.O.
