Denise Marie Sampson, 72, of Beverly, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Denise was born on September 6, 1951, in Canton, Ohio, daughter of Ralph and Peggy Frazier Pinkerton. Denise first attended school in a two-room school in Palmer, then Watertown Elementary, and Graduated Valedictorian at Waterford High School in 1969. After Graduation, Denise became an LPN, RN, obtained her Bachelor of Nursing, Master’s in Nursing, and Masters in Counseling. She worked as a Psychiatric nurse, and then pursued her passion for helping others and her faith with counseling at Six County Services and Christian Counseling in Beverly, provided by area Churches of Christ and her Church family at 5th Street Church of Christ. Denise enjoyed quilting and sewing after retirement.
Denise is survived by her husband Donald Sampson of Beverly; her son, Brad (Jenny) Sampson and their two daughters, Megan and Morgan; and her daughter Amy (Randy) Rose and their daughter Ann. She is also survived by siblings, Ralph (Suzie) Pinkerton, Eryn (Pat) Barrett, Joe (Lisa) Pinkerton; father in law, Francis Sampson, as well as other loving in laws and many nieces and nephews. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, mother- in-law Mary Sampson, and brothers John Pinkerton and Ed Pinkerton.
Family members express their deepest thanks for all the help, caring, meals, visits, and love provided by friends, family, Church family at 5th Street Church of Christ, and Amedisys Hospice Care.
Friends may call 5-8 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the 5th Street Church of Christ in Beverly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the 5th Street Church of Christ, with Preacher and friend Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery.
