Deborah R. Burkhammer, 73, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehab. In Beverly. She was born on March 18, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio. Deborah graduated from Streetsboro High School in 1971 and had attended Kent State. She later graduated from Marymount School of Practical Nursing in 1987. She had been an RN in several places in the area for several years. In 2006 she became a Volunteer Minister and Supply Pastor at Graysville-Stafford United Methodist Church and also at Lowell UMC where she Baptized her granddaughter in 2008. Deborah was a Published Author, a Recording Artist, an avid Genealogist and a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by three children, Mandy Malec (Doug Baldwin) of Waterford, Jason Malec (Trisha) of Waterford and Ernie Malec (Teresa) of Watertown; six grandchildren, Marissa, Elsie, Jaxon, Rebecca, Hillary and Cody and several great grandchildren; a sister, Cindy Lou and a brother Terry Lee Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dolores Messenger.
