Courtney De Iva Kutscherenko, 39, of Independence, La, passed away at 11:36 pm on July 28, 2021 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, La. She was born on October 30, 1981 at Dr. Whitacre’s office in Beverly, Oh. youngest daughter of Karen and the late Josef Kutscherenko. She was a 2000 graduate of Fort Frye High School. She worked in Zanesville, Oh, until she moved to Gulfport, Miss. in 2006 to work and help care for her nephew Juwan and nieces, Tiara and Amari. For the last two years she raised her great nephew Carter.
Courtney leaves to cherish her memory, her fianc’e Chester Hammer; mother, Karen ; brothers, Troy (Tabitha), and Andy Kutscherenko; sisters, Tara and Meredith Kutscherenko; nieces, Tiara and Amari; nephews, Juwan, Cody, Brady, Wyatt and Luke; special great nephew, Carter and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Josef Kutscherenko; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Frances Huck; and paternal grandparents, Ivan and Ilona Kutscherenko.
A visitation will be held 3-8 pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the St. Bernard Hall in Beverly. A Rosary will also be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly with Father Timothy Kozak officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Karen Kutscherenko at 390 St. Rt. 83, Beverly, Ohio, 45715 for the benefit of the Morgan County Fairground Announcers Stand in memory of the late Josef Kutscherenko.
