Clayton Harra Obituary

     Clayton E. Harra, 67, of Waterford, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Clayton was born on September 10, 1953 in Marietta, son, of the late Doryl and Faye Harra of Watertown, Ohio. He was a 1971 graduate of Waterford High School and had worked at Eramet for 44 years before his retirement.

     Clayton was a very devoted and loving husband, father, great grandfather, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family with all his heart and was so happy when surrounded by their love. He loved to pull his tractor (Turbodacious) with his sons. He also loved working with his sons in his garage on tractors and just tinkering. He and his wife, Sabrina, loved spending time together traveling, cooking, baking and babysitting. He loved working in the sawmill with his brothers, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He loved life and always had a smile and a hearty laugh. He was the kindest and most loving person you would ever want to know. He was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge #37 F&AM, Valley of Cambridge and York Rite Body of Washington County.

     He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sabrina Smith Harra, whom he married on May 21, 1983 in Watertown, Ohio. Two sons, Rob Smith (Amanda) of Marietta, Ohio and Travis Harra (Emily) of Waterford, Ohio; a daughter, Tracy Edsell (Tom) of Williamstown, WV; grandchildren, Steven, Lane and Wade Smith, Kali, David, Jacob and Gunner Henrie, Colt and Marlin Gilmore and Lacie Harra; one great-granddaughter, Ariya Grace Henrie; also surviving are his brothers, Michael (Mary) Harra, David (Mindy) Harra and Henry (Cheryll) Harra; two sisters, Patricia (Jerry) Few and Susan (Ronnie) Tornes;  and many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dana Wilson. He will be greatly missed. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents.

     A private family visitation will be held at McCurdy Funeral Home and a private graveside service will be held at the Watertown Cemetery on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 with Pastor John Harra officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 69, Watertown, Ohio 45787.
